dammit... so the padres got jacked this weekend -- broke the streak of scoreless innings by the bullpen (thanks boomer!) and broke the streak of winning series...
sucks... oh well... my fantasy team went off this weekend
and great, we just got smashed by the cubbies... yes, we broke soriano... but still... his replacement, floyd, did even better...

another thing -- i find myself chanting, "don't swing at the first pitch" to marcus giles (how come he can't learn about discipline like his big brother)
btw... it's crazy to be a padres fan in "la" (long beach) -- nevertheless, i was a minority, but didn't back down (this was on saturday, when the padres were already up 6-0 in the 2nd inning)
another side note, "experienced" the grand prix of long beach -- actually walked down pretty damn close to the action -- those fuckers are loud... still amazes me how they do this all downtown...
and if you're ever in town... boston's restaurant is a sick place for a beer and grub [find it] -- wings and burger are delish -- i highly recommend it!

gotta love it when the good guys win... 2 wins over the weekend, both in dramatic fashion. i think one of the best ways to win is either with a hoffy save or a bottom of the ninth winner (walk-off)...
went to the saturday game with christine (first game of 9)... bubba wells threw some slooooooow stuff on the mound... dippin' to as low as 58 mph... jesus... really effs with the batter's timing...
what a game tho... padres were down most of the game... then tied it late... then a-go gets cruz jr. in... and the crowd goes wild!

our season seats aren't bad at all... we're under the rafters on the first base side and there's little wind... the only sucky part is that we're right smack dab in the middle of the row... so we gotta stick our asses in people's faces and nachos if we wanna get up during the game (reminder: bring foley catheter)
