so i saw both 'no country for old men' and 'there will be blood' -- both were pretty good in their own way. i think i'm too stupid for 'no country' -- i can tell that the ending has some big significance (the story that tommy lee tells to his wife)... i need to find the cliff's notes for this movie
that dood who played anton chigurh is ridiculously crazy -- i can't see him in any other role than a crazy assassin... that weapon he had (cattlegun) was the craziest device -- multipurpose too!
i liked 'blood' a little better tho -- lewis' voice was cool to listen to... i just wanted to punch to pastor in the face so many times
i guess this makes a ton of sense now:
i also did something pretty cool -- did an impromptu brewery crawl with greg and geoff in my neighborhood (who knew?): alesmith, ballast point (winnah), and lightning brewery. all these three were located in random business parks and had really good prices for their beer. i actually got a growler (1/2 gal) of the black marlin porter -- good stuff

Dark, creamy, velvet smooth American style Porter
i didn't even know this "guild" existed... so check this map out (page 2) -- looks like the 78 freeway should be called the "golden mile" (not shower)... i'm thinking of setting up a brewery tour from the 5 to the 15 (cuz you gotta end with stone) -- would anyone be down? c'mon! it's like a winery tour but 100x better... CUZ IT'S BEER!
after that... i headed over to andy's (yes, he's a real person) and played a slick dice game called "cacho" (or according to wiki, "dudo") -- thing is, you've already seen this game in action... it's the game that davy jones, will turner, and bootstrap bill play (and will eventually gets his ass whipped like kunta kinte)
